Klein Oak’s head girls track coach, Geelah Jacobs, excitedly begins her 1st year as head coach in the 2020-2021 school year, after previously serving as the assistant/interim head coach during the previous school year. She teaches English 3 and serves as the JV coach/Varsity assistant for the Klein Oak volleyball team. This school year marks Coach Jacobs’ 13th year in education having made stops at the elementary and middle school levels before finding her home in high school. She taught in Spring ISD and Aldine ISD before joining Klein ISD in 2013.
During her coaching career, she has coached track, volleyball, and basketball, earning 11 district championships along the way. Outside of school, Coach Jacobs has coached AAU/USA summer track since 2004. She has coached numerous national qualifiers and medalists throughout the years, including coaching her daughter to a national championship in the 800 meters in 2015. Coach Jacobs’ husband is also a high school track coach, and they have 4 children: 2 girls and 2 boys. The oldest, a recent graduate of Klein Oak, is a freshman at Florida A&M University and is a member of the FAMU volleyball and track teams. The 2nd oldest is a senior at Klein Oak and is a member of the Lady Panthers track team. In her free time, Coach Jacobs enjoys spending time with family, working out, reading, and watching her children participate in their many activities.
